Advanced Practice Providers (APP) at Connecticut Children’s are vital members of the healthcare team who provide high-quality and compassionate care to patients and families. As the only free-standing Level One Pediatric Trauma Center in the state, our nurse practitioners and physician assistants use their advanced education and clinical training to deliver comprehensive care for children of all ages in both pediatric medical and surgical specialties.
APPs are part of almost every patient’s experience at Connecticut Children’s. Whether you’re a new graduate or an established clinician, we offer opportunities to advance your career. Our APPs work in ambulatory, emergency, inpatient, and intensive care departments. They have the opportunity to participate in clinical protocol development, student mentorship, institution-wide committees, quality improvement projects, and the Nursing Research and Evidence-Based Practice Fellowship Program.
Our APP infrastructure includes institutional APP Co-Directors who report directly to the Executive Management Team, and a vibrant APP Advisory Council. We offer competitive compensation, benefits and the opportunity for clinical advancement with our competency-based four-step APP Career Ladder.
