Corey Wynn, MD, MEd, is a pediatric pulmonologist in the Division of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine. While he is passionate about all aspects of pediatric pulmonary medicine, he has a special interest in asthma and lung disease in children with sickle cell disease. He is also a member of the multi-disciplinary Aerodigestive Team, utilizing his expertise in pediatric flexible bronchoscopy, chronic aspiration, and other combined feeding/breathing disorders in this collaboration.
His other major interest is in education. Dr. Wynn has a Master of Education, focusing on medical education. He believes in providing quality instruction to learners of all stripes, with a foundation based on kindness and empathy. Dr. Wynn acknowledges that creating safe educational environments is necessary to generate inquiry, lower modifiable stress, and allow trainees to speak without fear. This is also built on respect for groups that are underrepresented in medicine, including those who identify as BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and non-native English speakers.
In his free time, Dr. Wynn enjoys an eclectic blend of music and collecting vinyl records, playing video games, reading science fiction and fantasy novels, non-competitive running, playing with his dog, and spending time with his spouse.
