J. Leslie Knod, MD, is a pediatric surgeon at Connecticut Children’s. Dr. Knod’s areas of expertise include congenital neonatal surgery, minimally invasive surgery, pediatric thoracic surgery, and pediatric injury prevention and advocacy. She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Knod's research interest in esophageal atresia has lead to multi-institutional studies and international work in the field, including topics of esophageal surveillance, quality of life as well as teaching minimally invasive surgical techniques. She is an active member and current Vice Chair of the American Pediatric Surgical Association (APSA) Health Policy and Advocacy Committee.
