The Division of Orthopedics at Connecticut Children’s, through its Center for Motion Analysis, is a world leader in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of abnormal walking patterns in children.
At our state-of-the-art Center for Motion Analysis, Connecticut Children’s orthopedic and sports medicine specialists evaluate a full spectrum of diseases and conditions that cause abnormal movements. These include:

With this information, our specialists are able to develop highly detailed, individualized treatment plans, and accurately measure your child’s progress.
The Center for Motion Analysis is the only fully accredited motion analysis laboratory in the Northeast and one of the first such labs in the world. The center is a thriving research hub that pushes the boundaries of motion analysis for the understanding of pathologic movement disorders as well as more routine actions, such as running and throwing.
